My name is Talita Coimbra and I am blessed to provide nurturing care for children in my trust, supported by my wonderful family. I have worked with young children since 2015, providing top-quality childcare in a loving home environment for children ages 3 months to 5 years old.
Philosophy
A daycare should be clean, safe, stimulating, and fun. I strive to make children feel as loved as if they were with their own family.
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, except holidays listed in your contract.
Fees
Fees are based on agreed hours, not on actual attendance. No refunds for early pick-up, illness, or vacations.
Guidance and Discipline
We promote independence and awareness of others. Redirection and thinking time are used to manage behavior. Repeated issues may lead to termination of care.
Activities & Curriculum
Includes arts, crafts, music, story time, dramatic play, and free play. Preschool program for ages 2-5 includes math, science, and reading.
Substitutes
Trusted, pre-screened substitutes may be used when needed.
Food
Meals and snacks are provided. Infant formula/breast milk to be supplied by parents until one year of age. Special diets require a doctor’s note.
Supplies
Parents must provide age-appropriate supplies labeled with the child’s name. Extra arts and crafts donations are welcome.
Toys from Home
No toys from home allowed, except comfort items for sleep. We are not responsible for lost or broken toys.
Safety
Fire and earthquake drills are practiced regularly. Safety awareness is part of the curriculum.
Outdoor Playtime
Children will play outside weather permitting. Appropriate clothing and sunscreen permission forms are required.
Clothing
Dress children in play-appropriate clothes. Leave an extra set of clothes at daycare.
Celebrations
We celebrate birthdays and holidays with advance notice to parents. No nuts or chocolate.
Immunization Policy
All children must be vaccinated in compliance with California state law. No exemptions allowed after July 1, 2016, unless filed before Jan. 1, 2016.
Sick Policy
Children must stay home if ill. Specific symptoms include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, coughing, unexplained rash, conjunctivitis, etc. Children may return after 24 hours symptom-free or with doctor clearance.
Communication
Open communication is encouraged. Questions and feedback are welcome to ensure a positive experience for children.
Terms and Conditions
- Safety Commitment: Safe and respectful environment for all.
- Behavior: Positive interaction is expected. Aggressive behavior is not tolerated.
- Incident Reporting: Parents notified and incident documented.
- Repeated Behavior: May result in termination of care.
- Termination: Formal notice will be provided.
- Acknowledgment: Enrollment implies agreement to all terms.
Nap/Rest
Children under 5 must rest quietly. No drop-off or pick-up during nap time (12:00-3:00 pm).
Toilet Training
We support parents in toilet training. Provide pull-ups and easy-to-remove clothing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I pay during vacations? Yes, as per the contract.
Can missed days be made up? No. Additional days must be paid separately.
